I need to cheer up!!

Sheez, I have clearly been absent in almost a month here. I have been busy with my studies and family issues. Im not in a very good mood right now. I miss my eldest son who refuse to come home and he refuses to even say hello. Im very sad about this. I have ransacked myself about the reasons but I can’t find anything specific.
When I saw the 100happydays challenge on facebook, I joined, because I really need to see the good things every day brings. In this way, I will be able to stand strong and keep going, taking care of everything else. Take a look at my Instagram for more happy days. This is also a great challenge for you bat fit girls. I definitely believe that to be able to break bad habits you need to feel good (or better) inside, to have the strength to do the changes you need.

Summer  has arrived and my garden need lots of tlc. My lazy spot has to wait.

Other fun things I’ve been doing is visiting my parents to greet my dad on his birthday. Their Chinese crested dog is busy watching over the hens, while the evil rooster is locked up in the hen house. He takes his job very serious.
We have been on a real redneck event. First release of cows after winter. It was fun to see those clumsy bodies frolic around in the green grass. They will now have a long lovely summer on the fields. The animal protection laws are perhaps the most strict in the world. The winter stable is therefore clean, huuge windows, fresh smelling and the cows are not tied up in the stable.

We bought a new grill. It was labelled Goth so this was an easy choice, it also works excellent J
Last but not least: I have finished my studies for the season, that means lots of sparetime to enjoy time outdoors.

    1. That's what I told him too. There's no one who loves him more than his parents.

  3. If your son is a teenager - such things happen. A lot. Nothing helps more than being patient and understanding, however I understand how hard it may be. I hope you will find more happiness in everyday life, especially now, when summer is just around the corner :)

  4. Children can be SO strange at times, especially if they are teens or pre-teens. And sometimes they just need to deal with their shadows and problems the hard way, but it's hard for parents, too. I hope he works things out soon.

That barn looks wonderful! I've never met any cows close up except for one, but they do look comfortable in there.

    1. I wish I could see their reaction when the keeper laid his hand on the door handle. A radio reporter were there the day before and he accidentally touched the door and the cows started to moo loudly.

  5. Your house looks so lovely and sunny! I had to laugh at the dog being so serious about guarding the chickens! I love the blossoms!

    1. Yes he's a good boy :) It's particurlarly the grey young hen that he's protecting, sometimes he gets in between when the other are picking on her.

  6. I'm so sorry you're having a problem with your son. :( I hope it gets sorted out soon. I've been absent from Blogland for a while too. I've been stressed and unwell lately, and I'm trying to get myself together, so I can totally relate to your mood and your need to feel better.

The dog and the chickens are so cute! I love that you have such strong protection of animals in Sweden!!! How wonderful for those lucky cows!

  8. I would love to have a farm one day! And I'm sorry about your son. I am a young person myself (only 20), and sometimes we need space from our parents to try to become our own adults. I have a troubling situation at home, and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to move away for a little while. I still talk to my mother (but not so much my father), but I will come back. It's just time for me to spread my wings and become the adult that I feel like on the inside. I'm sure your son will realize how important family is.

  10. We had a hard time with our eldest from age 14-18. Half the time we didn't know if he was alive or dead. I wish I could offer some words of wisdom, but I'm sure we handled EVERYTHING the wrong way! What I can tell you is that eventually all those good life lessons you taught them during their formative years seem to kick in ... for some kids it just seems to take longer. I'm so proud of the man he is turning into, and I know it will be the same with your son. It's a difficult thing to get through but don't lose hope, linnea-maria!

    1. Thanks. I'm not worried that he will do bad things, he lives by his father.
